In recent years, Alexa’s feminine voice has filled the homes of millions, but it was in 2021 only that Amazon unveiled its masculine counterpart. Not just that the company also lets you choose Alexa to sound in celebrity voices. For instance, you can choose between Samuel L. Jackson, Shaquille O’Neal, and Melissa McCarthy in the US. Meanwhile, Amitabh Bachchan is the first Bollywood celebrity voice to be rolled out in India.

Step by step guide to change Alexa’s voice on Echo or Echo show:
Step 1: Switch on your device.
Step 2: Now say the command 'Alexa change your voice.'
Step 3: If one has more than one Echo, Alexa will ask one to specify the device.
Step 4: After that, specify the device you want to change the voice on.
Step 5: If the previous step is successful, Alexa will respond with a new voice.
Step 6: If Alexa is unable to change the voice, it will say something to the effect of “Sorry, [name of your device] doesn’t support that.”
Step by step guide to change Alexa’s voice through app for iOS and Android:
Step 1: Click on the Devices tab at the bottom.
Step 2: Now, select the Echo and Alexa button in the top left.
Step 3: Select the device you want to change Alexa’s voice on.
Step 4: Now, click on the Settings button in the upper right.
Step 5: The user must scroll down to the option for Alexa’s Voice and click on it.
Step 6: Now you can either choose the feminine voice or the new masculine voice.
Step by step guide to change Alexa’s voice to celebrity voice:
Step 1: In front of Alexa, say 'Alexa introduce me to (name of celebrity).'
Step 2: Now, Alexa will switch over to the celeb voice you’ve selected and explain the things you can do with it.
Step 3: If the user wants to purchase the voice, they will be asked to confirm the charge to your Amazon account.
Step 4: Once you purchase the voice, you can say 'Hey (celeb name)' to wake up the Echo device.
Step 5: Now, enable the voice on each Echo you want to use it on.
